PAINTING A WING
We all know that cars need painting to protect the steel, and it has the added bonus of giving your car an individual look. A beetle wing needs to have more work than most panels in order to get the desired high quality finish. It needs priming, then an anti-chip coating applying to the underside, the final coats of paint are then sprayed on.
Finally it can be fitted to the car.
New wing primed | Anti-chip coating applied to the underside |
---|---|
Etch primer | As much paint is applied to the underside as it is to the top |
Basecoat & laquer | Painted & drying |
Assembled & fitted to the car | Washed & ready for collection! |
